Choosing the right blinds or curtains is much easier when you see the fabrics and colours in your own home, in your own light. That’s why Blind Concepts offers free, obligation-free home consultations across Johannesburg, Pretoria and the surrounding areas. We bring the samples to you, measure every window accurately and give you honest advice on what will work best in your space.
Blind Concepts is a family-run business based at 41 1st Avenue, Edenvale, with 38 years of experience manufacturing curtains and blinds. Everything is made in our own workshop and installed by our own team, so you deal with one family from your first consultation to the final fitting.
Make your home smarter with motorised blinds and curtains. We install Somfy motors on roller blinds, outside roller blinds and Venetian blinds, and Omnia motors on curtain tracks, so you can open and close your curtains at the touch of a button. Motorisation is ideal for large or hard-to-reach windows and for homes that want a seamless, modern feel.
We only use materials we trust. Our blinds come from leading South African ranges, including Blind Designs, Aluvert, Blindquip and Mastervue. For curtains we use quality fabrics from well-known fabric houses such as Papini. All our fabrics come with a 3-year warranty.
We offer free home consultations for homeowners and also fit blinds and curtains for offices, hotels and commercial spaces. Whether it’s one room or a whole building, we measure, manufacture and install to the same high standard.
Our showroom and workshop are in Edenvale, so this is home ground for us. We regularly do consultations in Edenvale, Bedfordview, Greenstone, Modderfontein and Kempton Park, and can often see you quickly.
We cover the greater Johannesburg area, from family homes and townhouses to apartments and offices. Wherever you are in Joburg, our consultant comes to you with our full sample range.
Sandton homes and apartments often have large windows and modern finishes. We help Sandton clients with blockout roller blinds for bedrooms, elegant wave curtains for living areas and motorised blinds for big glass doors and high-rise units.
We do a lot of work in Fourways, Fourways Gardens and the surrounding estates. Wave curtains and Venetian blinds are especially popular here, and we can measure and quote a whole house in one visit.
We offer free consultations in Randburg, Roodepoort and across the West Rand, whether you’re upgrading tired window treatments or fitting out a new home.
Midrand and the Midstream estates are a big part of our client base. Estate homes often have guidelines on how windows look from outside, and we recommend options that look good from both sides.
We cover Centurion, Pretoria and Pretoria East, including Menlyn, Faerie Glen, Moreleta Park and Silver Lakes. The Pretoria sun is strong, so we often recommend Venetian blinds, sunscreen roller blinds and shutters that keep rooms cool without losing the view.
We also travel to Pretoria North and Hartbeespoort. Whether it’s a family home in Pretoria North or a house or holiday home at Harties, we’ll bring our samples to you and help you choose blinds and curtains that suit the space.
On the East Rand and in the south, we visit Alberton (including Meyersdal and Brackenhurst), Boksburg and Benoni, with measuring, quoting and installation done with minimal disruption.
Our home base is Gauteng, but our work has travelled much further. Blind Concepts has completed projects in Kenya, the Congo and Zimbabwe, and for the right project we can also travel to Cape Town and other parts of South Africa.
Projects outside Gauteng depend on the size of the order, so they’re best suited to larger homes, lodges, hotels, offices and developments. Contact us with your project details and we’ll let you know how we can help.
Want a rough idea of sizes first? See our How to Measure guide.
